It was tight, very tight. Team Hay went into their last game 2 points behind Willie so needing to win and by at least 5 ends. It didn’t start well against John Currans’ rink who, composed solely of players who have joined in the last 5 years, got off to a great start by taking the first 2 ends. As many of us are aware Sandy likes a challenge and duly rose to it. He delivered a masterclass in ensuring each end was safely his and with the required number of shots duly claimed the game and the Holton title again making it 3 in a row.
