Winning a trophy is always satisfying but for Andy Baird it was doubly so this week. On Monday he partnered Sandy to take on Johnny and David Halliday in the pairs final. Although Johnny took an early lead over the first 2 ends Sandy & Andy came back with some fine play and sweeping to take the Kenya Cup.

Tuesday saw the completion of the extended Tom Page with a double header between Mike Spain and Ewan Jones rinks with Ian Hawkins battling it out with Michael Longstaffe. Unfortunately it was not one of Ian’s better nights and Michael did not leave many openings making sure he won the game by the required number of ends. Congratulations to Michael and his rink of David Dumbreck, Rob Packham and Andy Baird.
