East v West
The first big club match took place with four rinks skipped by Jim Brownlie & Sandy Hay for the East and Willie Paterson with John Curran as skips for the West.
Sandy played new skip John in an competitive game which John managed to gain 8 points over 3 ends giving him a comfortable end to win 10-4.
Jim struggled to get a hold of his game against Willie’s strong rink and lost 12-1 allowing Willie to claim the trophy overall.
The winning rink was Willie Paterson, Johnny Nelson, Lorne Watson and Ian Hawkins.
